What TV Should I Buy?

-

When it comes to buying television sets, all you want is to get the best quality picture and also a wide range of features. Expectations of customers have increased over a period of years due to the new technology that is introduced so regularly these days. People keep wondering what TV should I buy since there are so many different types available. The number of features has also increased. Plasma which was a trend few seasons back was replaced by LCD and now LED TVs are the latest trend. All this definitely leaves the buyer confused as to what TV should I buy.

If you are not going to buy a TV which has the latest features, then you will definitely repent. Hence when you are thinking of what TV should I buy then it is better that you do a proper survey. There is a lot of information on the internet these days regarding the various brands available and even the feature comparison. There are even internet enabled television sets these days and you may want it in case you have a good budget and want to buy an expensive TV for a long term. This is a very important consideration when deciding what TV should I buy.

Whether it is an average spender or someone who has lots of money to buy a TV, everyone wants to buy a good quality one and does not want to compromise on the features. This is why most brands come up with TVs of different price ranges which have almost similar technology. But for the latest and high tech features, one has to spend a little extra. You need to be clear as to what is your criterion when you think what TV should I buy. Generally this year there were quite a few TVs that were introduced in different price segments for the convenience of customers.

Firstly decide a budget when deciding what TV should I buy. For people who have a restricted or modest budget but yet want to enjoy most of the features, then the Sony KDL – 32CX523 which is 32 inch in size is a good option. There are many other brands that may cost a little lesser in the same size and feature range but you may have to compromise on quality of picture or something else. The Sony TV uses the CCFL and not the LED technology. The prices may vary if you want a bigger TV.

It is best to decide what size of TV you want when contemplating on what TV should I buy. This will make your search easier. Another television in a slight higher price range is the LG 42LW550T. This TV can also be used to access your social networking sights and has every modern feature that you would want in your TV when you decide what TV should I buy. The higher the price range, the better is the quality and features. Even modest budget TVs are good options so you can definitely be satisfied with what you will receive at the low price too.

Plasma vs LCD vs LED

-

These 3 technologies are different in lots of ways, paricularly in how each of these screans is lit. In plasma TVs, there are self lighting phosphors that creat the image on the screen and they do not require any backlighting.

However, for LCD TVs, there is a liquid crystal screen which does not illuminate. Thus, requiring a separate light source which brings us to the difference between LCD and LED TVs/Screens. Traditional LCS TVs use cold cathode fluorescent lights to fully illuminate the screen which use a charged gas to produce that light. LED screens as its name might suggest, use light emitting diodes (LEDs) to fully illuminate the display.

You are probably wondering which is the ideal TV display to choose from between the Plasma, LCD and LEDs out there. There are several factors that would aid your decision such as ennergy efficiency, price, brightness and the size/thickness of the TV. LED comes in the best when it comes to energy efficiency and size, however, the price tag might not be the most encouraging as LED screens can cost an extra few hundred bucks over the regular LCD.

Survey: Tv vs. Computers?

-

Okay just pick one. Would you rather TV’S NEVER INVENTED or COMPUTER’S NEVER INVENTED? It’s your choice.
Don’t just write Tv or computer. Write like this for example:
" I wish TV’s were never invented."

If you just write Tv or computer I won’t know if you mean I WANT Tv or I wish TV’s were not invented. ;)

Would you recommend an HD TV or an HD projector?

-

With an HD projector, do you need any additional special equipment to hook it up to a DVD player or video game systems? Will it play non-HD just fine?

How much more would the recommended one cost?

I heard flat screens vibrate the wall. Is that true?

Vizio vs Sony bravia 1080p?

-

I just purchased a 37” Vizio (VO37OM) Lcd/hgtv 1080p and after 3 hours of tech support between Costco, Vizio and AT&T (my cable service provider), I can’t get the regular channels to look good…The screen looks expanded even though I have the setting on full which is what is recommended and the picture quality looks muddy and blurred. The HG channels look incredible, however, on all channels I can see the refresh rate and it’s bothersome. Vizios’ tech support wanted to “blame” everything but their set, and yet AT&T said I have the latest, greatest cable box and all settings were working fine.
I’m now looking into the Sony Bravia 40” KDL-40SK150 -1080p….I originally was fine with a 720p, however, many people said that if and when I want to watch Blue Ray I won’t be able to do so with a 720p, so that’s why I went with the 1080p.
I’ve searched and searched many customer reviews and it’s 50/50 between the Sony & Vizio, however, I haven’t seen anything from anyone re: what my problems are with the Vizio.
I’m not the type of person who buys a TV every few years..I keep them until they die. I don’t do any gaming, just watch tv and movies.
Can anyone recommend either one of these 2 tv’s? Or perhaps someone can tell me if they are having the same problem with their Vizio as I am.
Thanks!

Computer to Television Signals?

-

I just bought myself an MSI 2220 AE25SUS desktop. I used to have a VGA cable connected to my television so I could use my much larger television screen while working on my computer. Apparently, my new computer only has a VGA "in" port. Long story short, I seemingly can no longer send a signal out from my computer to my television. I called MSI’s customer service and they told me this was the case; however, I’m not entirely convinced this is the case b/c the CSR I spoke to didn’t seem to know is elbow from another part of his anatomy. I have an HDMI port, several USB ports, an e-SATA port, a tv tuner connector and an "optical S/PDIF-Out Jack". Is there ANY way I can use my television, in essence, a second "monitor," with my new computer. My television has VGA, HDMI and component inputs. Any thoughts, ideas (mods, adaptors, etc.). Is this a software or hardware problem. Thanks!

TV – if bought in US, will it work in Europe?

-

Well, I want to buy one of new TV’s. Ya know, 3D stuff etc. Well, if I buy it in USA, where there’s 110V power and NTSC system, how can I use it in Europe, with 220V and PAL? Is it possible to pull that one out? Is there any particular brand/model of TV that can work on both continents?

Suggestions on PC to TV cables?

-

So i’ve been looking around for a cable for PC to Tv to be used for a computer monitor. Some suggestions/opinions would also be nice to further refine my search. For the future PC i plan on some heavy gaming. Warframe, Arma, Battlefield, things in that nature. So HDMI is preferred. Preferred not a must have.

Which is better for SD, LCD or Plasma?

-

I’m looking at buying an HDTV from about 37-42 inches and I was wondering which technology I should get. My main question is which is better for SDTV. I will be watching some HD Channels, but the thing is that most things are still in SDTV. I’ll be watching SD Channels through my DTV receiver, HD Channels OTA, DVD’s on BluRay, and Xbox 360. Which HDTV technology is the best choice? Again, my main concern is SD content and I want to at get at least as good of picture in SD as my old CRT. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Any suggestions on specific tv’s would be good.

Will increased LED backlighting effect my flatscreen tv?

-

We have an 55" led samsung tv (the ones that are only an inch thick) and it has a backlighting intensity setting that goes from 1 to 10. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the brightest. We usually keep it on 10 and I was just wondering if keeping it at this setting will dramatically lower the tvs life. I would really like to keep it on this setting because it makes everything look amazing and without it isn’t much different from an lcd. I’m sure that turning it down every bit would help on the life of the tv, but what I’m wonding is will it DRAMATICALLY help the tv. I really dont want this thing to lose its glow or burn out prematurely.

PS: If you don’t actually know the answer then dont answer. Im not looking for personnal opinions on the matter, Im looking for facts.

Best Buy TV Replacement Plan?

-

I bought a samsung 42” 720p 2 years ago (almost exactly) with a 4 year warranty. It has been in the shop for 2 week so far, but it needs a new power supply and a board, so it is looking like Best Buy will not cover the repairs. The TV originally cost 00 (actually 00 but we got a discount at the register because we bought the service plan and an entertainment stand). How much money will we get toward a new TV – I don’t want an inferior brand, I purchased Samsung for a reason. However, I would be willing to go with another brand IF they upgraded us to 1080p at the same size (however, it seems the only options now are 40” and 46”, no longer 42” at least online). I am NOT willing to drop in size. Any opinions on what will happen?

How much would it cost to buy and run a football club?

Yeah I can’t afford to buy a football club, but I was wondering how much would it cost to buy a team from the Welsh Premier League? Because its a very weak league so I’d have thought the teams would be much cheaper to run.
